Readiness
Modeling & Analysis
Bionetics is an industry leader in the
development and application of Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A)
tools to solve readiness and supportability issues. We have served
as a principal provider of
these services to the US Navy for over 30 years, and are continuing
to refine and update the tools and techniques required to help
the Navy
address fleet readiness issues.
SPECTRUM (Simulation Package for the
Evaluation by Computer Techniques of Readiness, Utilization and
Maintenance) is a principal software M&S
tool
that Bionetics initially developed. SPECTRUM provides aircraft
Type/Model/Series (T/M/S)
readiness metrics for legacy and advanced concept aircraft in
the current and projected Naval and Marine Corps inventory
in support of Navy campaign
modeling and analysis. Recently, Bionetics began using SPECTRUM
to provide MS&A for the evaluation of alternative operational
and support scenarios for advanced aviation/ships platform
integration programs such as LCS,
DD(X) and CVN-21.
Bionetics also contributes to the Health of Naval Aviation
(HONA) program activity and the Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP)
Buy Our Spares Smart (BOSS) program. We evaluate fleet cost-wise
readiness and
affordability impacts of alternative weapon systems introduction
and/or modification, operations policy changes and logistics
support resource
investments. As a core member of the Integrated Readiness
Analysis Team, we developed, updated, maintained, and currently
support
applications of this extensive set of analytic and simulation-based
models,
databases
and data processing and management systems. These applications
support analysis to provide identification and evaluation
of
alternatives that
promote affordable readiness and sustainability.
